Values: Accountability Caring Growth & Learning Respect Adaptability Position Description The Sports Administration Intern will work alongside Lead Camp Coach and report to the Sports-Based Youth Development & Outreach Director to take the lead in capacity-building projects, including assisting with increasing efficiency and processes in program development, event management, and facility administration. Sports Administration Interns will also have the opportunity to attain hands-on experience in fostering a positive camp experience by establishing programming goals and metrics for success. The intern will assist in the execution of daily tasks that contribute to the overall success of our programs and initiatives. By collaborating with experienced professionals, the intern will gain valuable insights into the sports industry and develop essential skills for a future career in sports administration. Ultimately, this role aims to foster a deeper understanding of the business side of sports while contributing to the growth and development of our organization. Role and Responsibilities Administrative Responsibilities Provide administrative assistance, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping. Assists in managing registration, filing, and other documentation. Maintain close, daily contact with Conway Director, Program Manager, Programming, and Facility staff (professional and volunteer). Program Support Contribute to managing, planning, and executing camp events and field trips. Serve as on-site support for camp set-up, tear-down, and management. Actively lead & facilitate groups of youth ages 4-15 Additional Responsibilities Participate, as needed, in the Sanneh Foundation programs such as free summer camps, Dreamline, Summer Splash, Girls First, etc. May be required to drive Sanneh fleets periodically. Education & Qualifications Must have completed or is currently pursuing a Sports Management, Sports Exercise, or similar undergraduate degree. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be between the ages of 18 and 24. Some experience and/or interest in sports is required. Minimum of one or more years of coursework towards a Bachelor's degree in a relevant program. Other Traveling to multiple event locations and attending evening and weekend events, meetings, and training as needed. Valid Minnesota driver's license or other driver's license recognized in Minnesota. Other duties as needed. Benefits Professional development training Housing/Food Stipend.
