Job Description

Hiring an operator to run jobs on a CNC Toolroom Lathe and occasionally run the automatic Bandsaw to cut aluminum bars down to smaller pieces so they are ready for CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. You will be working with aluminum, plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

• Set up and operate the toolroom lathe run jobs.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe all safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.
• Raw aluminum bar load / unload

Required experience & qualifications:

• Any experience in operating CNC machines. 
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.

Physical Demands
Ability to select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing between 30 and 50 pounds. The ability to stand up to a total of 8 hours, with breaks while occasionally bending, stooping, and twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
There is an anti-fatigue mat at the machines, as well as a stool if needed. 

Drug Free Workplace:
We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.

Hours, compensation and benefits:
Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00PM with two paid 15-minute breaks and a full un-paid lunch hour. Compensation for this position begins at $20.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience and skillset. (Schedule can be worked out to be 6am to 3pm if preferred).
